One of my favorite quotes is by Australian singer/songwriter, comedian, bedroom philosopher, Justin Heazlewood, “Our business is not in marketing a product, our business is in being in touch with the world and the human heart and our dreams and reminding people that there is beauty in truth”.
The really tough thing is that we still want people to see our work. I’m a filmmaker and I don’t want my films to sit on YouTube with just 5 views. I want to move people and connect with people. To do that I need to bring some sort of business sense to my creative practice.
