Backstage Magazine launches in Australia

If you're involved in indie film on either side of the camera you would know how important it is to have good relationships between cast and crew. The character of those relationships is often determined by the first contact. Did you get a good feeling through the casting process? Is the actor's bio professionally written and well put together? Is the producer able to provide all the information you need about the production? Backstage Magazine and the Backstage platform works to get that relationship off to the right start for all entertainment professionals.

Since 1960, Backstage has served as the #1 resource in the USA for actors and performers to find work while helping talent-seekers move their projects forward. Having expanded to the UK in 2017, it's now Australia's turn.

You might have heard of Backstage Magazine when it's been mentioned on TV shows like "Mad Men," "Entourage," "Glee," "Girls", and "Saturday Night Live," – and Backstage has received accolades from multiple Academy Award-, Emmy-, and Tony-winning actors and directors. (Plus, the hit musical "The Last Five Years" even includes Backstage in its lyrics: "Here's a headshot guy and a new Backstage / Where you're right for something on every page.")

As the Australian Backstage community builds, we're excited to work with local talent on creating opportunity for aspiring performers and filmmakers around the country and encouraging collaboration.
