I asked Kenty what drives her writing?

I want to use my blog as a platform to empower and encourage women to explore their greatness regardless their size.

What do you spend most of your time on at the moment?

Empowering women, via workshops, motivational speaking and being present on Social Media by sharing my story with followers that are genuinely interested and that can relate.

What is it that sets you apart from other people working in your field?

I am the first Plus Size Blogger on my Island. Although there are thousands of bloggers globally, the plus size blogging industry in the Caribbean is exploring how to build brand recognition regionally & internationally!

Do you promote your work on social media? What platforms are you on?

Facebook & Instagram. I would like to make these 2 platforms as strong as possible before branching out to others.

On which platform do you have the largest audience?

On Instagram. This has proven to expand my network faster.

Why do you think people follow you on social media?

What has worked for me is being consistent and not following your typical blogging topics and combining it with live interviews. I also have my YouTube channel.

If someone is just starting out on social media, what would you say is the most important technique to build an audience?

Consistency and daily posting are what has worked for me. I also use a hashtag app, that lets me copy the most popular hashtags and that helps grow my followers. I do not do Facebook live. I prefer to do actual interviews, with the necessary equipment etc.

Do you pay for advertising or do you have another way of expanding your reach?

I do a lot of cross-blogging and features on other blogger's platforms and I also reach out to many plus size magazines.

Where do you make the most sales?

I actually plan to start monetizing of my blog in 2018. For the time being, I am working on getting the blog exposed to various audiences.

Do you have any wisdom about how build a marketing strategy?

The key to a successful marketing strategy is to be consistent and work with the necessary key partners that will enhance your product or service. As a blogger, your product is accurate and current information for your readers.
